Merton Rise, Basingstoke

Merton Rise offers an exemplar sustainable urban extension to the north of Basingstoke. High quality urban design is at the heart of the vision of a vibrant, friendly and welcoming place which connects with and brings regeneration benefits to the existing neighbourhood of Popley.

950 new homes, a new secondary school, neighbourhood centre, open space, public realm and employment land in Basingstoke are all provided in a masterplan inspired by the dynamic and rich interface between rural and urban landscapes.

The project was developed through from the successful planning submission to the delivery of the first phases of residential houses, green infrastructure, play and open space and a new secondary school.
