John Hunt of Everest Community College, Basingstoke
Everest Community College is a focal element in the Merton Rise development project on the northern edge of Basingstoke. The 900 place college provides a replacement campus for the pre-existing Popley secondary school.
The college provides community facilities including a new public civic square, outdoor sports facilities, health and fitness suite and local Youth Service facilities.
The £26 million school project was carried out with Hampshire County Architects on behalf of Hampshire County Children’s Services and in conjunction with the County Landscape Architects.
