Brighton and Hove Albion Football Stadium, Brighton, East Sussex

Brighton & Hove Albion’s Football Club is set within a greenfield site on the edge of the South Downs AONB and the South Down’s National Park.

The masterplan fuses building and landscape to enhance the natural environment of the Sussex Downs and moderate the visual presence of the building when viewed from the AONB. The architectural design positively responds to the challenging setting to create a building that emerges from the landscape and nestles within the Sussex Downs ‘like a jewel’.

HED was responsible for the landscape design around the building as well as the Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment and associated mitigation design response surrounding the Stadium.
