Arts University Bournemouth, Bournemouth

Arts University Bournemouth (AUB), one of the leading universities in art, design and media performance has been undertaking transformative projects in the last few years. HED was commissioned in 2009 by AUB to develop a landscape masterplan, provide a vision for the campus and oversee specific projects in a phased manner.

The first element of works was completed in November 2010, with subsequent phases following the universities programme of building works, including to date the new Library Courtyard design, Photography Building extension, Students Services Building, and the incorporation of a drawing studio set in woodland.

The 140 sq.m. Drawing Studio which is used by students from all the art departments at AUB was designed by Professor Sir Peter Cook (CRAB Studio) and opened by Dame Zaha Hadid in March 2016.
